Doors and windows won't open

Following on from my post about 2 months ago. The doors or windows wouldn't open with the buttons. So i got a replacement black box controller and still no joy. The green light on the centre console is staying on constantly and i have had the drivers door in bits as this was the door i last shut before it all went tits up, still no signs of bad wiring etc. i have checked the fuses, all ok. Can anyone shed some light on what may be wrong.

sounds like s similar problem to mine - does it constantly do this or intermittently? Mine went back to the dealer today to get sorted out so will let you know what they say but here’s a post I started a while back that has a few suggestions

I tried holding the key fob for 10 seconds tonight and the alarm just kept going off. Is this normal??

Hi Paul, i had problems with my doors & windows a while back & it seemed that the doors drop on their hinges over time & miss their sensers that are located within the bodywork below the catch ( under the B post ). With mine, we just had to keep adjusting a small amount on the door hinges until we got it to align ( & give it a damn good clean )!

Technical issues are not my specialised subject but hopefully this may help

Cheers Simon i,ve had a look at the contacts on the door, maybe the magnet has dropped off the inside? i'll have to test that, thanks for the idea.

You could try a 20 pence piece attached with some blue tack over the switch, on the car not the door, will fool the proximity switch, if thats whats the problem...its been done on mine, was there when i got it...

Hi Paul, Sounds like a prob with your door pin switches, which is vvery common ,or the main loom through the door into the car. Water leaks as you know are a common problem and that loom in the o/s ad n/s doors gets a good old British soaking.
