Hi all,

I have lost one of my reotes so buying a new one and wanted to know how I programme it for my alarm?

Any help much appreciated.

ok, just won the auction on ebay for the replacement key fob, just need advise on how to add it to my alarm.

Have you phoned a dealer? I'm sure they would tell you.

I spoke to my local dealer and they wanted me to bring the car in and let them sort it, but I was going to try and do it myself if possible.

Carl BAker sorted mine - but needed to reporgramme the unit and then give me 2 new fobs.

ah, so not as straight forward as adding another remote like you can with something like a Clifford system then!

When you buy a new remote, you should be asked for the code that is on the red card that (hopefully) came with the car. I think this code is also written in the front of the car handbook on the vehicle details page?

Once you have a new, programmed remote it just needs synchronising with the alarm system and your old remote. This is the bit that you can do yourself.

I had heard about the red card but i don't have this and nothing in the front of my owners book either! think it might be a dealer thing after all.
