Hi
As a few of you on here know ive recently bought a 4.5 cerbera. Ive been thinking about doing a track day but dont know the first thing about going about actualy doing one!
Who do i go through???
How much??
What will i need etc etc.
Also are there age restrictions??
any help will be apreciated.

There quite a good guide on the TVRCC site, it covers all your questions I think.
You could do a lot worse than Snetterton on 24th April, a bunch of us from SE London / NW Kent will be going, so you're welcome to join us up for a blat through to Norfolk.
Alternatively we're organising a Track Training day at Lotus' Hethel track sometime in Spring, as there are quite a few people who are keen to track but haven't as yet, the idea being the day can be tailored to get what you want out of it whether for road or track skills.
You could do a lot worse than Snetterton on 24th April, a bunch of us from SE London / NW Kent will be going, so you're welcome to join us up for a blat through to Norfolk.

We have a couple of things lined up on the track front for this year - including a TVRCC only day at Brands in July! (just awaiting the final confirmation on that one)
On behalf of the SE London & NW Kent TVRCC Tripps & myself have been busy on two different aspects of track training - hes working on the one to one training - Im doing the weekend away in a country house hotel near a circuit in a large group type affair
The Noble owners club are at Brands on Sunday & we are welcome to go along to have a look, a few of the locals are hoping to pop along for a gander.(brekky at The Oakdene Cafe?)

Session based, last time I was there, it was four groups (novice, 2 x intermediate, advnaced) for 20 minutes, works out well and keeps the Radicals from scaring the first timers!

Are you seriously only 19???
If so, may I ask who you are insured with/ how you managed to get insured at all... im 20 now and would really love to be a named driver on my dads policy, but his previous insurers wouldnt quote (Liverpool Victoria) for someone of my age... need to get a quote from his new insurers, but doubt they will too.

) DO IT!!!I went on one of the MSV "novice" days at Brands in December. It was £89 for 1/2 day (which I did) or £159 as here www.motorsportvision.co.uk/brands-hatch/trackdays/event-details.asp?ProductID=1238 for the full day.
Very much enjoyed it. It was clear that there were some "not quite novice" novices out there, but everything went pretty well. There was some hand-holding (mini bus laps, duck+duckling) early on, but after that it was open pitlane, with the option of (pre-booked) tuition in one's own car. It looked like there was potential for more "free" lapping than in the evoactive day quoted elsewhere in this thread (is that only 1hr of "open pitlane, no convoy"?).
But still, it depends how you're fixed: I had the benefit of a relatively experienced trackday meister as a passenger
The nosie limit was 105dB(a), and I had some stick-on pipes with me. But we (and I assume everyone else) wasn't tested so there was no need. I'd still go prepared, though...
