Blinky Green Light Thingy

During a recent period of inactivity I left my cerb on a trickle charger with the bonnet slightly open so it didn't press down on the croc clip on the battery - a week or so later I opened the garage and instinctively blipped the key fob - thus locking the car. Now whenever I lock it the green light by the handbrake flashes away rapidly to tell me someones been tampering with the bonnet - me! Anyone know how to reset it?

I've had a lot of issues with mine - basically it locked me out of the car (the alarm would disarm but the light wouldn't stop flashing) its been back to the dealers who called today today to say they've cleaned everything and it seems to be behaving now

As I understand it, you're talking about the green led in the door locking button on the centre console (near the gear lever).
I dont think this has anything to do with the bonnet, and if it flashes rapidly it is suggesting a fault with the locking system.
I think that if you press the button for a couple of seconds when in the car it disables the external door opening buttons until the fob is activated (or something like that)

The green LED by the handbrake always flashes on my late '96 cerb when the car has been locked.The frequency of this flashing LED is also much faster than the red LED on the centre of the rear screen.Maybe one LED shows the alarm is set the other LED may show the immobeliser is set.
The bonnet has no switch to say wether its opened or closed thats why the alarm is'nt classed as a category 1 alarm.

From my hand book - Alarm red led (rear screen). One of the following sequences will indicate which alarm circuit has been triggered: -
1)Ultrasonics = 1 flash every 6 secs.
2)Doors = 2 flashes every 6 secs.
3)Boot or Bonnet = 4 flashes every 6 secs.
4)Panic facility = 16 flashes every 6 secs.

Sorry all - I got my info. wrong 
. However my green light is flashing like the clappers but the door locking etc. all appears to be working fine! Maybe i'll just forget about it.
Incidentally doesn't the fact that the book says the red rear alarm lights react to the boot/bonnet being tampered with implies there is some sort of monitoring on them?

The cerbera does not have a Thatcham CAT1 approved alarm, one of the requirements for this approval are bonnet sensor. The cerbera does not have a bonnet sensor, it is purely a flimsy mechanical device that is not hooked to anything electrical and there are no other sensors attached or around the bonnet. Leave your bonnet unlocked, alarm your car, and open the bonnet, you will not see any variance in the LED flashing frequency.
