MikeyT said:it went in for a service, but they found problems, i had a word with the guy who sold me it and he was very nice about it he sent me £1000 towards it, it currently stands at £1800 though.
Why is it off the road dug? No problem I hope.
What I thought was a slight oil leak was power steering fluid So the rack had to be taken off and sent away x-rayed and repaired(2weeks)
looks like it might have caught a cerb as the lower front suspension arm drivers side was kinked and rotten the upper arm was also rotten as was the upper arm passenger side.
All these things have now been done but it has a pin hole in a complicated(photo to follow) metal waterpipe Two big ends and two smaller ends for hoses coming off it, and TVR Blackpool Have told Peninsula where my mate the macca f1 engineer gets his parts that they haven't got any and have no plans to make anymore this year, Peninsula have offered to make him one themselves but it will cost Another £115 and take another few days
. Thats what I e-mailed The Boss about as I had a nice chat with him about cerbys at BTAP and if anybody knows where to find a part for a cerby it would be phil
Oh and it has been waxoyled and will be having its brake blocks colour matched, oh and while i'm here some spanner had silicon sealed the HT leads on to the spark plugs which were apparantly a T
T to get off without damaging the leads(last service TVR Blackpool 2000 miles ago, I don't think they would do that though. They must have been popping off your only meant to clean them and put them back on not seal the Fookes on, apart from that it's fooking ace and still gets me attention off the ladyz even when it's in a garage, cos eveyone knows whos ort the best looking car in Stafford
Only trouble is i have a PH xmas do in Manchester Friday and they have given me a white diesel saxo van with windows
Oh well life could be worse at least I'm not ugly(doH)

Get the set from Tim. There are two metal pipes and if one is gone then the second is likely not far behind it. Probably worth getting the silicon hose set as well, the rubber ones are probably rotten. If it's coming off then it's a good time to change it all, it's a bugger of a job.

Its really easy with a ramp
, but if your gonna do that then you might as well buy a new water temperature gauge cos I guarantee you won't get the old one off in one piece. Dug
I have just put the stainless ones in my car last weekend. The steel ones are a bit rusty, but sound. In fact once out of the car, they seem better than they looked in situ. You could clean them up and paint/powder coat and they would be good as new. You are welcome to them for the cost of delivery, as they were heading for the bin. (I am in Warwickshire, by the way)
