ECU Software

Guys.. Can someone mail me the ECU laptop software.. Oh and as I recall there are issues with the cable type...

So.

What cable do I need to use?

Pc world cable suffices - there's plenty of older topics - have you tried the search?

Yep... I've got a whole bunch of cables to try, was just wondering if there were any quirks before I went through my collection and spent money.

So really just waiting for the software.

Erm, mine is only about a meg and a half (zipped)! Seems to work okay, is this not what you're on about?

Mine is the AJP V8 version.

I found my shop bought cable wouldn't work until I'd snipped all the extraneous wires. I think it only used 3 wires in the end, as per the MBE lead diagram (search on poast posts.... )

You only need the resistors if you're re-mapping the thing, otherwise a std serial lead works fine

i was talking about the whole CD (hence the size)

Cerealsurfer, If you just need the ECU software shoot me a mail through my profile as I've temporarily put it on one of sites. If not and you can wait Deans offer sounds good. What else is on the CD Dean? I have a CD with Parts manual and some of the workshop manual.
