So can you buy a close ratio gearbox for a Cerb? I had one in my Tuscan S and I cant help thinking that the ratios would suit the Cerbs greater torque over the Tuscan. I asume the boxes are extenaly the same as the Tuscan on the late 4.5's?

Better still, custom wide ratio third for the Cerb

Wonder if they'll do a wide ratio 1st second and thrid to comfortably help the 1/4...?

This is all good stuff! In the Tuscan S, the gears were longer than the standard car, near a 100 in second (apparently! ) So is that a wide ratio box or a close ratio?

Wide ratio, or in TVR land, close ratio that company, wonder how they keep going sometimes... guess its easier to market as a close ratio box.

Unless im completely off the mark here?

This is my confusion, definatley described a a close ration on the specs for the "S"

First and second gears are raised, hence first, second and third gears are all closer together.

I think third gear and above are the same ratios as in my previous non-CR gearboxed Cerbera.

The TVR CR box option with the S6, first is raised, second and third are taller gears and fourth and fifth stay the same. Putting the gear ratios closer together. Hence the term close ratio box.
