AAaaaagh!!!

Thanks to those who helped me last night..................but it got worse.
I found the loose connection for my head light, that was good, but then all the windows and electrical locking mechanisms switched off!!! and the little green light that signifies that the alarm is on just stayed on! So I thought I would look at the biggest black box in the boot that does the tricks associated with windows and locks. No joy, apart from a brief moment when the windows decided to open fully. I put the connectors back in to the box but there was some heat in the bottom corner where the smaller terminal is opposite the large one. I took the battery terminal off and left it for a few minutes to see if anything would reset. It didn't and I then tried several times and then gave up having taken the terminal off the battery.

Any ideas???!!

Let me know when you find out as my green light stays on and i have checked black boxes and door contacts etc so may have to take it to an auto electrician.
