Diff - oily patch under?

IIRC the diff is a sealed unit? i've just moved the car, and there's some oily patch directly underneath. the beast has not been used all week, could the cold weather affect the seals, and it to suddenly release the oil? as i park on the street it could've come from another car, but as i said it's been there all week and it looks pretty fresh?

if it is the diff, are they easily sourced. and how much?

My diff leaks a bit of oil too. How much oil are we talking about? Mine's just a few drops at a time.

Manual mentions proceedure for topping up diff oil - don't think it's sealed. method of checking level is crude though, can't remember the exact words but its something like 'if you remove the plug and oil leaks out - you don't need oil'!

Yes and top up until it pisses out.

There is a specific diff fluid fluid so make sure you get the correct one as per the manual. Don't know what it is for the hydratrak.

Diffs are about 1k new so hopefully you don't need to go down that route. I'm awaiting the verdict on mine as we speak.

My Diff has always leak a bit onto the exhaust.. Did on my Chim as well Thought it was a TVR std option

mine leaks as well particulaly under load ie when caning it and leaves a small aptch on the ground after a run. its been like that for the 3 yeras. i just top it up every 500miles or so. It takes about 10 mins

that's a big oil patch for just one leak event ..
