Ebay tyres

Bought my 4 x Toyos (18s) yesterday from Leigh tyres on ebay - placed order at 2pm for the princely sum of £320 ish incl free delivery (ie I deducted the delivery charge!). Tyres arrived this morning!! Wow!!!
These tyres are not far off 1/2 price (compared to Stealers).

I went to them and had two put on the front of mine. Great price and no more tramlining from the S03's before!

Just called them for a quote on 255/40/17 T1-R and they are £102ea.

Not too bad really. The tyres that have on ebay are the T1-S' the older type, but still bloody good tyres.

I just bought some T1-R in 16" from Stortford Performance Tyres. Now need to wear them a bit to get rid of the mould release agent -- I lit up the rears just getting out of the car park!

really bugging me this 'cos i had two goodyears fitted just before xmas with the intention of having two more about now,but having spotted these a couple of weeks back i cant bring myself to part with around £150 for goodyears(each) but i didnt really want a mixed set.
what do you guys think,should i buy two toyos for the back and put goodyears on front or stick with my original plan and forget the cost.
tyres are all 255/35 by the way.

Same tread pattern I think...?...I dont see it being a big issue, the only thing thats a big no-no is mixing on same axis...FYI I have Bridgestone SO2's on the front and Toyo T1-S's on the rears.

Used them too - great service... they are in leicester but deliver 2 tyres for £10 or 4 for free...

Yep. First heard of them from Satman, then Ebay. My two fronts ( 18" ) fitted £160
Fantastic value and needed them to push the sale of my car

Given the extremely different tasks the two axles have to perform, I don't see any probs with mixing - As long as you're getting a pair in the right realm !

Took my 4 new tyres , my new wheels and my 6 yr old son to the tyre fitters today (they fit TVR tyres all the time for a dealer.
Me "How much to fit the tyres for me?"
Him "£10"
Me "Each?!"
Him "No for the lot".
Me "Make it £20 !"

Cant believe it was so cheap !

So now I just need to put the stickers on the centre caps (nearly £70 for 4 caps and stickers!)
Grind 3 or 4 mm off the rear hubs
Fit the front steering rack limiters
Fit the wheels !!

Not bad at all. It does pay to look after people in that way, they will remember you and go that bit further for you if necessary.
