heater question

Do the hot and cold fans have separate control boxes in the fuse board in the boot? My cold fan works fine, switches on and off with variable speed all as it should. I have found the control box for that fan, but it is not the one shown in my owners manual (no surprise there then).

The hot fan has stopped working and nothing happens when the button is pushed but there is power to the button cos the red light around the button (not to be confused with the red light for the heated rear window) comes on with the ignition.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the fans etc they can email me?

I'm in exactly the same situation ('cept my hot fan comes on when I hit the brakes and goes off ewhen I'm on the gas - which means it's usually off )

Check the multi plug connector that goes into the heater control unit. O found that the earth had burnt out.

also when the undertray beneath the steering column is removed, can sometimes pull a few ribbon/cables. check those are firmly in place

thanks where is the heater control, unit? Is it under the dash near the heater knobs or would that be too obvious

Above the engine ECU in the passenger footwell.

thanks all-heater problem was a burnt out connection on the heater ecu. redone connection and fixed. My toes are toasty warm again
