Got a knocking from the rear which goes silent and turns to a judder under braking which i can feel through my ar5e and only vfaintly through the brake pedal, nothing through steering. Feels like i am on a cobbled surface.
Noise is one knock per wheel revolution. Have checked:
All brakes (taken and cleaned pads & disks)
diff to chassis bracket
driveshaft boots (one had a split but still lube inside)
thanks for any ideas.

Diff bolts? I had a few work loose one time, which was a bit of a shock!

If you have banging coming from the rear end then i would suspect the rear diff bushes,I had a lot of banging coming from my car under acceleration and throttling off.Inspected the diff bushes and they were absolutley sh****d.

Just recently I've been getting the same trouble, at first I thought it was brake judder, know think it's connected with a knocking noise I get from the rear. Cars due for it's service next week, will wait and see i guess.

Diff bush I'd reckon as mine has been doing the same and is going to be changed soon.

It could however be the exhausts, as they sometimes rattle around a little.
