Quentin Wilson on the Cerbera..........

While we all know that they can be bought for Mondeo money, it's a shame that it's emblazened all over the cover.
I had a friend recently say to me 'wow, must cost a fortune, those things are about £30K aren't they?' I didn't reply just smiled.
Little did he know my 6 month old Freelander cost more.
Excellent couple of pages, and Cirvy, I hate you, you've got me wanting a Lotus Chrome Orange Cerb' again!

Hi Tim, there was a gorgeous orange lightweight for sale on PH classifieds not long back, i do know they dont come up often, ( something to do with most original owners having more taste
) Orange is a funny colour, in brilliant sunlight it neither looks its best, nor photos too well. Bizzarely, it looks sensational on a grey dark day, which luckily was the weather for the photoshoot for this article! Actually, it was quite scary being told to boot it round bruntingthorpe with the ice detector on, not daring to tell anyone that my tyres dont really work properly below 6 degrees
Good day out though

TT Tim said:Then we get people buying then and being skint as they didn't expect running costs to be something like fifteen times higher than their old Mondeo.

Based on the running costs of our old Mondeo at less than £200 a year excluding tyres and insurance - and no I wasn't suprised by the costs of my Cerb!
