rear disks

Has anyone replaced rear disks. Searches show that general opinion is dont go mad spending loads of cash on them but also that upgrades are preferable (and cheaper) than TVR. So what upgrade do you go for?
For info i have 16" wheel and mine seem to be 310mm with no disks or grooves.

the standard rear disks are fine for normal use. If you are thinking about upgarding them then go for it but dont do it without doing the fronts at the same time as it affects the brake balance. Get some specialist advice. dont go it alone.

Don't change the spec unless you have a reason.

I have just converted mine to a solid disc on an alloy bell and used the caliper from an early chimaera . I was not tring to improve braking , just losing weight ( If I remember right about 5 Kilos a side ) and having a proper working handbrake. The disc is from a tuscan racer so I am sure it is upto the job , David

steer clear of drilled versions, they crack. i replaced mine (took around 2 hours) i would not upgrade as you can mess up the config. if you do however go this route, i would get rid of the shocking handbrake
