My 4.5 has a VW/ audi cap on expanshion bottle than seems to be leaking are all carbs fitted with vw caps?

Can you get alternate caps for this? Mine's an absolute bar steward to remove.

Mines a bit of a nuisance to remove, but that's down to the fact that it rests against the engine cover. I'm not sure if it's a poor design or the fact that my engine's been out that many times, it's moved back about two inches

Mines got a VW cap too - tightens up like a good un it does!

So does mine Greg, just that I need to get a local body builder round to unscrew the bloody thing!

Cheeky sod! Im guessing you know I am the phantom pie-eater? Even my considerable bulk wont release it sometimes and I end up using all sorts of funny contraptions/lenghths of metal to get the damn thing undone.

It is indeed a VW item.

From memory it's the same cap as a Mk1 Golf, Mk2 Golf, Mk3 Golf or a Corrado.....

About £10 from a VW dealer (and the newer they are, they easier they are the screw.... - sorry )

The (blue) coolant cap is VW part # V443 121 321 "K41C Cover"
retail is £8.60 + vat.

I think you just need to work on your grip (which surprises me ) And lean into it...
