I just bought a Cerbie!
Discussion
Thought I would show my face as I just picked up a Cerbie today! Has Esprits for years and fully intended to buy another one but always had a bit of a hankering for a Cerbie and stumbled across one that I think was a rather good deal.
So rather unexpectedly I am now the proud owner of a 4.2 97 with 40k. Got it checked out by the chaps up at Silverstone who gave it a clean bill of health after a bit of a tune up and getting the door and windscreen seals replaced.
Ran into Phil James up at silverstone. Already been on the phone this morning to Silverstone lot and to the PO but so far it seems like a pretty damn fine car.
It's sunny, the roads are dry and we have a terrible weekend lined up in terms of the weather, it seems only right that I stop doing the work i have to and go for a little hoon.....
Cheers

I live in North London.
Car is metallic BRG with anthracite rims. How do I put pictures up on here?
Between the Esprit and the Cerbie I'll comment on later but right now, the sun is out and my nephew is sitting here which means I have a convniant source of child labour to help cean the car!
Thank for the warm welcome.
Any meets going on anywhere near me I woul be well up for if only because i know less about cerbies than I do about quantum physics so could use any tips you lot might have!
Cheers

Welcome to the silly grin club Adam!
Get yourself along to the Middlesex region TVRCC monthly meet on the 1st Friday of every month. www.tvrcc-middx.co.uk/index.php . It's held at the Ace Cafe on the A406 from about 7:00pm. TVRs get exclusive parking rights.
Always full of really friendly people that are always willing to talk 'TVR'
Come and say Hi, You can't miss my Cerb..... it says Budaholic on the back,
What part of North London you from, I'm in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. We could be within 2 miles of each other. Would be good to see another Cerbera around these parts.

It's a far better thing you do now than you have ever done before.
I know, I had an Esprit Turbo and, for me, the Cerb is just in a different league of motoring experience.
Congratulations, welcome and good luck !
... and I just found out yesterday that the Windscreen and Heater Control Boxes hang, by their own wires, from under the passenger's 'faux' glove box. There you go, you'll treasure that bit of owner's advice one day - Not !

I'll be at the Ace - love that place!
OK - one quick question if I may. Hot starts she seems to stall immediatly. If I start from cold no problem and once I am running its fine but in order to keep her going ate a hot star I have to hold the revs artifically high. Once I have been running for 3 or four mins then I get no more problems. Any ideas?
Child slave has done a fairly decent job so in reward he gets to come to Ace on a friday night!
Right, break over. I'll do an esprit / cerbie thing later and do it on a different thread so i don't bore anyone!
Edgeware?! I am two mins from there in Stanmore! Personal email addy is adam@webstylecorp.com and as a general rule, if there is hooning to be done, I'm in!
