I always thought I had a reasonably noisy buggy, having had it de-catted and all, but at the monthly TVRCC meet last night Dean fired up his beasty (which I know has had a bunch of bits removed!).

His comment that my car was too quiet made me wonder whether mine was just comparatively quieter or plain quiet!

Mind you, it did mean that I was particularly noisy all the way home afterwards!

Your's aint one of those with half an engine missing is it? (sp6?)
The loudest I've ever heard is probably carbon-als 4.2

I wouldn't worry. Noise isn't everything

Morebeanz I didn't mean to offend... it just seemed very civilised – nice sound on the rev though. Do you have the standard box still on?
Superb looking car though! Ce bon!

It's ok Dean, I am not in the slightest offended, but just wondered whether I had a real stealth Cerb!! Thanks for the compliments, BTW!

Nope, it's a 4.5...although maybe I just potter about too much. Time to grow

Now then Ash, it's not just how loud you play your stereo it's what you play on it

My S6 may not play the same tune as an AJP8 but I have to say it's sounding great (and unlike any other S6 I've heard) since the work at TVR Craft. No doubt the de-cat has helped too!

Oops... sorry mate, got nothing against the SP6, a very very capable engine, but the grunt of a cerb V8 is pure music, I would associate the SP6 noise more akin to a racecar (especially when decatted)....

Its good to hear your SP6 worked on by tvrcraft is running like a dream. So, made your mind up about a blower install yet?

It certainly sounds more 'race car' - that's a good way to describe it Ash.

I know you weren't having a pop - just being mischievous! Speaking of pops (and bangs), she certainly spits more since the re-build! (awaits comedy comments)

So dean, was yours the 117dba cerb I heard about then? Wished Id come out to watch rather than getting another beer in at the bar. Heard there was a lot of banging and popping going on and half the cars in the carpark had their alarms set off. Or is that another urban myth?
