manual boot release/City of London run
Discussion
I know there's a fix out there that those in the know will send out to bona fide Cerberistas in trouble - could someone send it to me, please? Usual thing; got my coat out of the boot, closed it, but not assertively enough - so when I came to open it again, no action. No click, no nothing. Had an amazing couple of weeks though - first problem since the last problem (knackered starter motor) - and I count myself on the up-and-up.
When searching for advice on the boot release came across a long thread from last year about an early morning blatt through EC1-4 postal districts. Assuming she's running, I disturb the Square Mile on a daily basis - - should we have another collective loud shake-up of the Bank of England security staff early one weekend morning now that Spring is here?
All help gratefully received on the bloody boot thingy.

Thanks to all three of you - actually spent the last two days morn till night at a conference elsewhere. Very kind of you guys to offer to help.
The boot lid has now decided to open again in the normal way - but I know it's going to stick shut on me again, probably at the most inconvenient moment. So if there is a standard way to overcome it, please let me know!
This morning had a slightly similar problem - parked up at work and couldn't open the door in the normal way, had to use the red lever (first time I've done that). Once opened and then closed again, the regular switch worked again...
These self-correcting problems!
Does anyone think that the two items - boot and door refusing temporarily to open - are symptoms of an underlying problem?
(And, we must have a City Cerbera meet!)

Hi Chris,
I work in Lombard Street which must be close to you. I did the Cerbs in the City run and as you can see from the photos. The city police did not welcome us with open arms. They did a head on road block with vans. It was very good laugh though. I would keep the numbers down if your going to do it as if they see 16 Cerbs in row again I think the next time will take things down the route of giving out tickets.
If you need a hand let me know.
Cheers
John
