Heating

The heating in mine is pretty much useless. I do get a smattering of hot air but its not great and the driver footwell seems to always be a bit cold. The fans seem to work but there is not massive pressure behind them. is this normal?

Been using my cerbera for the last week in this bl..dy cold weather and the heater has been excellent. It took a bit of fiddling to balance between the vents but it works a treat. What I did notice and I do not know why but if I open the screen vents I getter heat to my legs??

You have a later car with the improved vents.

madmark did a very comprehensive 'improve your heating' thread around 2 months ago. All the solutions should be there.

I take it you have the gearbox tunnel flip vent open? I only ask as it took me 3 weeks to spot it.

The pressure is not bad but not the same as a ford.
Check that the passenger side foot vent is closed and if you've got the late vents, you can close off the windscreen ones too if not needed. This will increse the blow to your feet.
Also check that a pipe hasn't come off under the steering column, mine did that and was blowing all the hot air behind the dash.
Other than that see my long, boring but hopefully imformative post that MrsMM linked to above.

keep your feet off the dashboard ?

Dont ask me why it does it but both passenger and drivers side nice and warm. Even the screen is demisting? Has to be something to do with pressure i feel.

Check the connections at the heater control box. It only take one bad contact to slow the motor down.

I also find that in this cold weather the engine temp is run but the thermostat. This slows the coolant flow and reduces the effectivness of the heater. As soon as I see the needle going past 85 I get a rush of hot air.

Cool - lots for me to check out there. Hopefully I can go climbing about in the car this afternoon and see what i can find. Thanks for all the advice so far, let you know what I find.
