Does anyone know if N244 KCW (even with a different Reg)is still in existance, after all we have got alot to thank her for. I heard a while back she was no ordinary 4.2 Cerb as She was specially prepped by the factory. Anyone have any more info, I'm just curious.

From the threads I've read this was a vicious rumour spread by the manufacturers that were beaten! The same car was Autocar tested at 350bhp so it wasn't given some 'special' engine although it had 4.5 style inlets on.

Please feel free to correct me as I'm only going on what I have read rather than 1st hand knowledge.

click here it's via the RAC, it;s connected to the HPI check which is connected to the central registry or whatever but it's a good check to see if a car is still about.

Like any press car it was given alot of attention, however - AFAIK and as far as I have heard from those close to the factory, it was a std 4.2 with the early 4.5induction set up in CF (that never made production, but made little difference) and a decat. Autocar though it was suspiciously quick and had it rolling roaded, they subsequently found it to be pretty much bang on... as most 4.2s are.
