Okay Gents, Insurance funds sorted and it is time to consider what next after the sad demise of CER81E. I enjoyed Cerbera ownership while it lasted but I was bitten pretty hard by the beast so I'm toying with a few alternatives. Should I stick with the Cerbera, switch to a Tuscan or heaven forbid choose something outside the TVR fold?
I'm in the same predicament. Dosh in the pocket, not sure what to do.
The only one that appeals from Gazzab's list is the XKR; And I was toying with a 1973 Jensen Interceptor! (The 7.2L engine appeals!).
But then I have a look at Cerbs for Sale on here and I think - no, I want another one!

Have owned or drove all the cars above and trust me when i tell you none of them come close to the cerb, ok things tend to go wrong now and then but i think its worth it. Try to buy from main dealer with a years warranty to sort out the main probs if any. Only car that have owed which come close to cerb is Porshce 993 turbo 4 but was'nt as fast did'nt sound as good (ok may be slightly more reliable) but cost twice the price. Just my views of course...
Cheers Scott.

I was in the same situation last month; bought a C5 Corvette Z06 and haven't regretted one moment. Loads of ex-Cerbers have done the same.
Really - who else has made the move?
Sorry; meant ex-TVR-ers in general. Seems to be a common trait. The guy I bought my Cerb from went on to a 'Vette. If you check the profiles of the guys in the 'Vette forums, quite a few have owned TVRs in the past.
When I was looking at buying a few weeks ago, I posted a question on the forum asking for advice, and was told that ex-TVR owners were slap-bang in the middle of a typical 'Vette owner profile.

Ady,
How do you find the Z06 in comparison to the Cerb?
Love it. It does everything the Cerb did, but with the almost certain knowledge that it'll do 10,000 miles with only an oil change. After the initial month of ownership of my Cerb last year, when it was in the garage for 3 out of the first 4 weeks, I had very few problems, other than little niggles, but it was always in the back of my mind that something was about to let go.
The 'Vette accelerates almost as fast, stops a lot better, handles equally as well and looks (IMO) just as good. Much cheaper to run (if that's a consideration; does 30mpg @ 80-90mph on a run) and as reliable as a Swiss watch.
