Because it was scratched and didn't look as nice as it would with a nice fresh bit of paint. Not sure if I should get it body coloured yet or not.

I'd go for black to match the air pipes and otehr air boxes.

I have done all the glass work:

Cutting and fitting light pods
Cutting and shapping mouth

I have done a little bit of the blending but left the last bit to the body shop as they will do a far better job. Its a body shop in Beccles, Suffolk. They are good and have done some great jobs for me and friends before.

What you going to do with the gaping hole that is left ? Fill with some form of Aston esque grill stuff?

Yep fill it with some smart grill mesh. Not the type you usually see stuffed in every gap on a nova though

mine has had all that work done you can look at my profile to see i am changing the mesh to a better one. dont like the one that is on it ,also putting a small sticker number plate under mesh on bottom front . so no more big lumps of plastic on the front just lots of air going in

, looks great in your finished car, can't wait to get the paint on mine. My worry with some mesh is that it seems quite supple and will end up being dented and out of shape. I will fit a 3/4 number plate on the bottom with a couple of 'L' shaped brackets (attached to the underneath of front) so I don't have drill holes in the front.

did want to do number plate like you said but cant get over any speed bumps so cant get in most car parks . which would please most people as i seem to set off a lot of car alarms when starting up

Might curve the brackets the shape of the bumper chin to get the best ground clearance. Should work as a bonus to stop the body work getting scratched on bumps and ramps.
