Hi People i got another question can anybody help me last few days my s6 has been reaching normal temp 70deg and then the temp will drop a little then return to 70deg. Hasnt happened before so this is a new one for me starting to think that maybe i am cursed as ive had the car 7mts and spent 5k on it already and only covered 2500miles my wallet is empty has anyone got any ideas cheers
you could try the speed 6 engine forum.
The indicated temperature will drop a little as the thermostat opens and lets the cool water from the rad into the engine.... perfectly normal.

My 4.2 V8 does this. I've always assumed the drop occurs when the thermostat opens and the cold water in the rad mixes with the hot water in the engine.
It should happen at around 82 degrees. That's when the thermostat opens if its an 82 degree stat. 70 degrees seems like quite a low running temp. Mines not a S6 but its generally 80-85degrees.
Same here, after 2 to 3 miles temp rises to indicated 85 , stat opens and drops back to around 70.
All seems normal to me.
