BAROMETRIC PRESSURE

Just had a look at the ECU diags and the barometric pressure is reading 1000m BAR which indicates a fault, where is the sensor and what should I check ? Everything else seems fine, adaptives looks good etc, what impact does this sensor have on the engine?

From what I'v read, not a lot. The sensor itself is inside the car, above where the passenger's legs go. Its connected via a little rubber hose to the passenger side airbox.

Unless, of course, the barometric pressure actually was 1000 mbar where you were yesterday. Mine was only 1003, so it's quite possible.

I wondered what that little rubber pipe going out of the back of the n/s airbox and into the back of the dash was for. Cheers Simon.

I wondered what the one that is disconnected on mine did! My AFR was spot on at SRR so it can't be that important?

Just checked the pressure at Exeter and it is 1010mb so could well have been 1000mb yesterday.

Sounds like its working OK.

At the SRR day Paul (Austec) said his latest remaps now use the Baro pressure which wasnt used by the standard map?
So perhaps its not doing anything?
