ideas for rough running please!!

there i was enjoying the sun on sunday, clean car, clearish roads, having a great time, then felt like i went onto 7 cylinders/injector blocked, still like it today, any clues appreciated as car in for odds and sods tomorrow at local dealer to get steering lock restrictors/wheels set up etc, easy non main dealer jobs but would like to get him to have a quick look as to the 'rough running' Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

It's going in to a main dealer tomorrow so surely it's pointless to speculate?

No NOT in at main dealer, its in for minor work, lock stops etc, but as its at a dealer of sort, would like him to have a quick look at the running prob, im a novice with cars!!, bikes no prob, but cars a different kettle of fish, hence my request for any ideas.

Duff HT lead, or broken spark plug but it could be a million different things really.

When I had a similar problem it turned out to be a duff lambda sensor - damn expensive fix though!

Wot he said . . . or could have merely worked loose as they can sometimes do if not properly secured.

Why expensive?

A lambda sensor for 'our' cars is about £80 from a motor factors, and with the benefit of a ramp, no more than an hour to drop the exhaust and change the sensor over. So £150 tops.

Well, yes, but now build in the numpty DIY factor, hence me taking it to a reputable Indie and paying accordingly...

That £150 was factoring in dealer price. i.e. £80 parts + £70 labour.

Anyway, all academic. Mine's off to a 'reputable indi'' next week to sort the mess I've made trying to get it in tune
