So much for Admiral being good for insurance. Policy docs through this morning. Listed as a 4997cc Cerb....

Now want to charge me more money as in another 12% as it's a group 33 car not group 32.

i thought it was only up to group 20, so what's this group 33all about. your comment did make me laugh though, i believe there's been a small rise in insurance on cerbs due to a growing increase in claims.

Strange, I thought it was only up to 20 too. And ive had a quote from Admiral this morning on a 4.2 with no probs so far! Call back and speak to someone else there!

Maybe the 4997cc Cerb is the Boss Cerb? Either that of they've mixed the Rover powered tivs up with the Cerbs.

The insurance companies use different internal scales to what the public use, some use a 0 to 100 system, some use 0 to 50 etc..

Yeah thought they had their own scaling system.

Is funny when you try to explain about the engine sizes and they pay no attention. Anyway they listened to the recording and phoned back with 15 mins. Policy adjusted and no more to pay.

As for A plan. Pretty sure they won't get anywhere near the Admiral quote. Might try them later and see what they do. Also I have a multicar with Admiral so I'm saving on that too.

Off topic slightly......
When I had my S2 it was insured as a "Griffith S2 Tourer"...Whatever that is!!!
I'm sure insurance companies make everything up on the spot, including their prices.
