2pm yesterday afternoon spelt the end of TVR ownership for me, for now.
I had been driving the Cerbera since 2003 but I only took ownership from my brother in law about 18 months ago. Knowing that she had come from a good careful owner, with a good history including a full engine rebuild, meant that the chances of a big bill somewhere down the road were greatly reduced. In 18 months she left me stranded once, clutch seals, not too bad really.
I used my car every day, apart from towards the end. The electrics gave me a little hassle when I first got her; I think this was due to being parked up for a while. As a daily commuting car she was great, maybe a little hot in the summer, but the car always behaved herself even on the hottest days last year. I drove her 70 miles a day, with a good mix of open B roads and A roads returning good mpg and I really think regular use increased the reliability.
Thinking of buying?
A Cerbera is not like any other car. You will find that every drive becomes a mixture of excitement and dread, that something may break! You seem to get a respect from all classes of driver, but you also get M3 and Jap imports asking for a race all the time by sitting off your rear end by 6 inches.
Servicing is not that bad. If you are ok with the spanners you can do most of it yourself and save £000’s but finding a good servicing agent is a must, for spares and advice.
Take a look at a few, drive some, get them inspected and take your pick 4.0,4.2,4.5 they are all very special indeed
So I close the Cerbera chapter and open another, title yet to be decided. I think Cerberas are great cars. I fully understand that they are not to everyone’s taste but sometimes we have to do what we have to do.

Yep the new guy is Ice_Mantis (I think) Him and his other half are really in to TVR and I am sure will take good care of Fluff.
Not sure whats next, back to my Mini Cooper for now.

Hello all, im the proud new owner of Fluffy.... I must say I almost felt mean taking her off of Nick but I assure you Fluffy's in safe hands!
Had a great weekend of driving, mainly round Leigh-on-Sea and Southend, saw lot's of other TVR owners waving and flashing from the opposite direction, unfortunatley I wasn't that quick off the mark to find the button to signal everyone back!! haha
So far so good, no hassle yet but this car has been very well looked after by Nick! The other half had a bit of a headache after the first few hours but that didn't stop her wanting to go out again on Sunday!
Im sure I'll be on here a lot more now I have the Cerbie so all advice will be appreciated!
Oh, there was one prob thinking about it, the handbrake handle cover came off when trying to put it on hard on a hill........ not very keen on this hill start business!!
All in all im very pleased with my purcahse!
