Ebayed a new starter this morning at 8am, and it's already sitting in front of me, and he'll recon my old one as a spare.
Checked a few threads on here and doesn't sound that bad a job to fit.
So I hope you boys enjoy a long weekend of head butting the horizon, me, I'll be covered in crap in the depths of a Cerbera.

WOW, that is quick. The best one I ever did was place an order with CPC at 5pm, it arrived before 9am the next morning and that was without paying the extra for next day!! It seems that there are a few companies that actually look after their customers.

Can I ask where you bought it from ?

Only I've had one off ebay & it's only lasted two weeks.

I have a spare Tilton starter motor, fully refurbished, shrink wrapped, if anyone is interested. Could do with selling it to help with the racing budget - I had 3 refurbished at the same time. It was a full refurb (i.e. all new internals) so it wasn't cheap, but it is cheaper than a new one from TVR

Company called CES in North Weald, Essex. I've seen starters on Ebay from them before so expect we're talking about the same company. Hope I have better luck then, have they sorted it out for you?

I'm going to get the original Tilton one refurbed, when it's ready, I'll get them swapped over & send CES's one back for exchange.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Finally a good news story about fleabay

My pal's told me a better one....on Thursday A guy spots his Jet ski on flea bay, rings up & offers him £4000 for it.

He Say's his wife is going to get the cash from the bank, 20 minutes later the "wife" calls to say she hasn't got her photo I.D., but the bank will let her have a banker's draught instead (you can see where this is going)

They turn up, lovely young couple, my mate said they were so nice, he threw them in a couple of life jackets & some other stuff.

One counterfeit bankers draught for £3900 = ouch

They had false plates on their car, gave a proper address (where they don't live) & they aren't answering their orange mobile phone.

Can't understand why

Can't believe that one still works. I thought it was widely known? Still they have my sympathy.
