Who's had more than one starter motor ?

My new starter from flea bay has lasted all of two weeks.

So I rang my local refurb place to get the original "Tilton Super starter" refurbished, I told him it was for A cerb, and low & behold, he's just bought A Tuscan, he's on here as well as "orangeone". Small world......

Anyhoo, I mentioned the fact that the last starter has only been in a fortnight & Gary mentioned that although it could be a duff starter, it could also be something else, low battery, duff alternator, in my case the relay that I've had fitted as my original starter button stopped working etc etc

Question is, I remember reading about people on here, that had got through a couple of starters in quick succession. In hindsight, did you have any electrical faults as well or was it knackered starters ????

I had a new one fitted that lasted just over 2-3 weeks - It was knackered!

current one is working fine.....but holding a spare now - just in case

I'll be looking out for you, might see your car next week, if it's at Horizon (I'm going to ask them to fit my refurbed starter motor)

I'll be there Wednesday getting a 12k service and a few odds and sods done. Was in today having the exhaust sleeved - 104dB, not quite up to the 108 of my Cerb, but it'll do nicely!

Did you have any other electrics replaced at the same time, or not long after ?

Battery, alternator, 100A fuse etc ?
