Steering rack out in 2hrs 10 mins.

That was a mission 
Thought I'd pop to Greenwich power steering tomorrow and get my rack overhauled. Trouble was the rack was still in the car at 19:30.
Pop her up on stands and removed the front wheels.
Remove both track rod ends (one is a reverse thread)
Remove the beauty cover and washer bottle.
Remove the pipes across the front of the rack and then the return hose and the feed hose from the pump from teh unions near the UJ (tricky 16mmm spanner for the pipes and 3/4 for the feed hose).
Unbolt the UJ nearest the rack and spread with a screwdriver.
Unbolt the rack 4 x 13mm nuts and bolts. 2 people ideally
Remove Offside metal coolant pipe (may need access from below (removing engine undertray to get to the hose clip nearest the engine). Detach nearside metal coolant pipe at teh front and lift up (hold up with a cable tie).
Easy as that, tricky bit will be getting it back in.
All done and rack's on the floor and ready to go. GPS can usually turn them around in 24 hours but they currently have none in stock. £130 + vat.
