Airbox problem 4.5l Cerbera

The fibreglass spiggott where the breather pipe fits to the airbox is damaged due to somebody overtightening the "o ring" adjustable clamp. The breather pipe keeps falling off. Can you repair the fibreglass so it does not "cave in"? Do I need to replace the whople thing? Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

can't you get a threaded s/s fitting and nut and washer it either side ???
i don't really know what access you have

This is a fairly common problem. Some dealers/indies will do a rebuild the advantage being that they tend to strengthen the fitting.

Or you can rebuild it by with a fibreglass repair kit and some patience. A can of coke is about the right diameter

The breather pipe is, AFAIK, from the crankcase. Most cars recirculate this back into the airbox to reduce emissions. However, this is a TVR we're talking about, so the emissions are already incredible. Can you not just extend the pipe and dump the oily air somewhere else (somewhere that isn't hot), like down by the front numberplate?

Not got a clue unfortunately. Perhaps I should let an expert look at it for me!
