Patt is back after his long sabbatical

Well sorting the leaking steering rack is done, I opted to remove all the coolant hoses etc rather than doing the job in situ, I sent the rack to Power Steering Services in Greenwich and they did a very prompt repair (5 working days) and returned it to me for £169 which I thought was excellent!

Fitted it all back together with new coolant hose clips (water wetter etc) and a good clean up in the engine bay and underside of the car.

One new lambda, two new throttle pots a bit of setting up and hay presto took Pat for his MOT on Saturday and he sailed through the only area I was worried about was the emissions as I have only got a single cat sports system, anyway HC was up a little (160) but well under the limit of 200.

While he was in bits I decided to fit a battery cut out switch thanks to John aka Barcli, together with a CTEK charging point for my battery conditioner.



So PAT’s back on the road after his long sabbatical, just got to sort the heater / fan(s) and the rear speakers now!

Whats the reason for batt cut out switch - security or emergency
Just read your old thread- all is now clear.
