my re-trim!

Hello people! I decided this week to buy some faux alcantara and retrim the horrid inspector morse coat style tweed in my cerbie! what dya fink?



going to retrim the batwing and helmet holder too afterwards!

I baught a complete interior from ebay ...
...working out most cost effecive way to get it retrimmed in red
... then my loverly magnolia interior will be up for sale

Very nice.From that pic i will give you a 10 out of 10.Have a look at some of the threads by ridds,he,s done the same and some other bits and pieces,and a host of pictures to show for it as well,me personally im changing the tweed to purple alcantara to match the rest of the car but im getting a trimmer to do it for me.

Looks good, I did the same to mine last year. The 'batwing' can be done with one piece with a bit of fiddling. I also used some 3mm foam here and there to smooth corners out.

Is your car Halcyon Hebrides like mine? I thought about a red interior, but the car does actually look green-ish in bright sunlight. Do you think it will go? I love black cars with red interiors.

Theres a black with red interior in the PH classifieds .. was tempted but better the devil you know?

Carl yours is (like mine) nearer to black than green - I liked your black interior! ... the magnolia in mine isnt my favourite all be it everybody else says its great (mines full leather also except headlining).

The only problem I caan see with the headlining is its tucked under rear screen - I wouldnt remove rear screen so a trim or piped edge would be needed?

I now have saddle brown interior that is is good nick ... that I am going to get retrimmed red .. struggling to justify expense?!

Yes, my interior is black with sage green. I could go red, but some of the green bits are the transmission tunnel, lower dash, etc. which looks like a lot of work. I need some retrimming done anyway: the side bolster has worn through on the driver's side, a legacy of long doors and narrow garages.

doors stayed where they were mate, just removed the door cards so no risk of scratching the doors. Just got back from another 150mile drive in it, so out to do the other side now!
