Joolz's HID Conversion Kits

Got the car back from Ian at Middlewich after having these HID light conversion fitted - wow - what a difference they are phenomenal.

Bloody hell on the way home on the motorway every cat's eye for about two miles was lit up, I can't believe it is the same car.

The light is so much different no more yellow pathetic beam, but a crisp bright almost bluish light which illumninates the road brightly.
I can recommend these kits wholeheartedly and every cerb should have them, especially if like me you were struggling to see in the dark when making reasonable progress.

I haven't noticed any adverse reaction from other drivers, although if you get eye level with them by looking into the headlight they are incredibly bright.

I might have to take the cerb out and go lamping with it !!

Hunting animals (rabbits or foxes mainly) at night with a very powerful torch or 'lamp', usually using either 'running' dogs or shotgun/rifle (shotguns sometimes used from the back of a landrover flying across ploughed fields, bouncing all over the place and highly dangerous. Damned good fun though . Not sure how good a cerb would be for this mind )

Have you got the original lights or the speed 12 conversion? The reason i ask is because of the price in replacement bulbs.Ive got H.I.Ds fitted to my cerbera with the speed12 conversion and to my RangeRover,The Cerbera has H7,s £60 RangeRover H4,s £120.The Cerbera with old style lights are on H4,s

i put a hid kit on my m3 when i had it and couldnt belive the difference it made, everybody that got in the car couldnt belive how bright and pure white they were, come to think of it i shoulda took them out before i sold it...doh

I'm certainly interested in the joolz HID kits, but it's not clear if the H4 versions are dim/dip.

OK, anyone know what the difference is between Joolz'z HiD kit and the upgrade bulbs/wiring that other cerb owners have done off their own backs?

Joolz's kit has HID capsules.

The upgrades that other owners do is just putting in beefier wires and better halogen bulbs.

Aha (I think). Cheers. Ive got Xenons on my Audi but dont think they are that much of an improvement. They are brighter but doesnt seem to throw the beam as far? They are auto leveling (or something like that) so maybe they arent throwing the light as much as they could? Need to find someone with the HiDs so I can compare like for like. Anyone going to LM who has them (or local to Sussex?)


Edited to add: Ive never thought the headlights on my cerb where actually that bad, not brilliant, but OK. Then again, I dont tend to drive him much in the dark :shrug: )

Ive got H.I.D,s fitted to my Cerbera they just plug in to the existing headlight wiring.The H4 bulbs have a dim/dip feature built in.A little motor with in the bulb casing that turns the bulb up and down when u flash the lights.

what was the cost for that ?

Normal price is about £300,but i got mine for £150.
