Took my girl-friend over to France yesterday and came back with a fiance (same woman I should add)
Went in the Cerb. Only had it a couple of months, so the first really decent trip it's done. 350 miles in total and it didn't bat an eyelid. In fact, it just destroyed the smooth french motorways (and anything else in the fast lane) and was comfy and spacious to boot
The Cerb got a lot of interest and positive comments from other people on the Eurotunnel (greeeat noise it makes in there!) but I couldn't believe the reaction she (the car, not my fiance) got across the Channel. Saturday shoppers just turned, stared, pointed. Loads of them shouting 'Regardez le voiture anglais / regardez le TVR!'
So I was also amazed that so many French knew what a TVR was. Good on them I say, given that the spotty youf serving in my local Halfords the other day thought a TVR was made by Misubishi in Japan.
So all in all, what a car! All that pace and style for £20k. And totally reliable to boot. It doesn't get better than that

Last years drive to Le Mans will stay in my memory for years to come - we didnt touch a motorway but stuck to B roads through small towns & villages.
The reaction of the locals as 20+ TVR's rumbled through their streets was amazing, isnt it sad how people in this country just love to knock TVR whereas the French seem to love them.

Wonder if we overtook you ? Blue Cerb, black AMG, black Cobra (Nitros), 911 TT, 911 C4S, RS4, Ariel Atom etc etc..... Those B Roads use up the fuel. Think we refuelled 3 or 4 times !
You're absolutely right - it's amazing you can get a Cerb for near enough £10k these days. Maybe I did pay over the top for mine, but it's a minter and exactly the car I wanted.
As for top speeds, I must admit that having had my collar felt on occasion, in the last few years, I'm a good boy these days. Suffice to say, it was fast enough to have some fun though..
