Replacing induction hoses?

Hi all, I'm new the world of the 4.5 Cerbera, my previous one being a 4.2.
On my new car, collected last weekend, the purple hoses are, asusual I suspect, burnt looking.
How shall I best replace these, without resorting to a full whirlwind kit?
Your advice and thoughts are appreciated.

You can buy direct replacement purple hoses from most of the TVR Dealership / Outlets, I think they are priced at around £40 each + vat.
The alternatives are the ACT Induction kit which can be bought through Austec or the Whirlwind Induction kit that can be bought through Track Car Solutions, however, both of these kits benefit from a remap to get the best from them.

The hoses can be bought through the dealer network, I got mine through Power. I think they worked out at around 40 quid each, plus vat.
However, they will probably need trimming to size before you fit them. Mine were an absolute b***h to fit, and I was only replacing four of them. The issue being I could get seven of the pipes on (four old, three new) and the space remaining for the last pipe was about half the size it needed to be.
If I needed to do it again, I would certainly consider getting a garage to do it. But don't let me put you off.

Andy, I've just got the first batch of short inductions through so there will be a lot of people soon with secondhand full length pipes that would possibly be up for sale .. keep an eye out or pace a wanted add in the classifieds maybe?

I think you have to get a remap if you go for short hoses as the ECU cannot account for the change in induction and the car doesnt run properly. although saying that, modern cars dont need remapping when you stick an induction kit on--somtimes you have to reset the ecu-- but as in T2 fashion...its a learning computer, it became self aware at 2:15 eastern time....
also i think the short hoses give the engine that Cecil centre parting look, which looks a bit geeky!

Woldn't say necessary as I've heard of a car putting out 360 on a standard map. The short intake pipe lenghts shouldn't increase the airflow/vol eff to a point that it begins to lean the mixture off at high speed load. Need to monitor EGT or Lambda on a power run before and after fitting to check really.

From memory its £350, but apologies if i am wrong, work have blocked Joo's site so i cant check...
The long purple pipes will go like this after 6 to 9 months after replacing them anyway. Every cerb I've seen under the bonnet of has burnt looking pipes. They only really need replacing if they are permanently squashed looking or if they have holes or you can see wire poking through. However, I rather like the look of the trackcar short purple ones if I was thinking of replacing them.

I had the purple pipes on my car 18 months (and the previous owner had them another 18 months I believe) and they where fine (ish). Only changed them coz I wanted one of the aforementioned induction kits (and had to have them in yellow, of course
