4.2 decats anyone

hi i`ve only had my cerb a few days and by reading the forums decats seems to be the way to go.Does anyone have any 2nd hand ones for sale?

Hi Neil,

Might be worth trying EBay.

I currently have mine for sale on there with no reserve and a low starting price, but mine are for a 4.5, somebody will get a bargain.

Make sure you measure the pipes first. Mine is an early 4.2 but has a 4.5 exhaust system fitted for some strange reason, the pipes are slightly different diameters.

And different length cats - Mine is a '99 4.5 with a 4.2 exhaust system. Got to love TVR, right this 4.5's ready for it's exhaust, what we got? Oh yeah this 4.2'll fit.

Never noticed different diameters though?

The diameter difference is only about an 1/8th of an inch. Dont know why they bothered. When I ordered my sports pipes I ordered the 4.2 set and guess what they didnt fit too small but only just.
