Hi from Tokyo.
I joined this forum about 2 years ago when I was just inches away from signing up for a 4.2 Cerbie. A last minute loss of testicles meant that I broke the deal off, and bought a 996 GT3 instead. Although a great car, super quick, and the only thing that broke was a rear windshield wiper cap.
I still couldn't stop dreaming about the Cerb.
Have been without a car for 8 months now, and found a beautiful Chameleon Mettalic S6 (also a 4.5 available in the same colour, but the door seals were so damn crooked, I couldn't bring myself to buy it).
I just got the lease agreed today and now undergoing all the usual pre-sale checks, getting a Navi fitted and paint coat, cause in Tokyo, you need Navi or you will never find your way around.
Anyway, looking forward to life with a Cerb and a 1 year warranty. So lets hope if anything snaps, it'll happen in the next 12 months.
Will post as often as I can regarding my trouble free Cerb life in Tokyo. (Please tell me the 2002 S6 is better than the earlier models!)

PS: This forum has been an invaluable source of information, and gave me the confidence to go buy one for real, instead of another 996. How boring that would've been. Thanks to all who have contributed in the past...the brainwashing actually worked.

Not yet...but if you are out there...please feel free to email me. I think most of the owners are japanese speakers, and would be tough to communicate...I only speak English unfortunately. so can7t go to any of the TVRCC events. maybe will bring a translator with me?
