Anyone had a new timing chain ?

Does anyone know if there's supposed to be any after service once you've had one swapped.

The place that swapped mine never mentioned the car going back, but on another occasion a mechanic there mentioned the car going back after a 1000 miles, to see if any adjustments need to be made.

Is there a definitive view ?

I suppose it depeneds whether the Cerb has an automatic adjuster or not. I'll look at the books this evening, but hopefully someone will beat me to it.

Don't beleive it does have an auto tensioner.

They do loosen and should be checked. Not sure if there are any specs on how or when though.

I don't think, there's a definate answer on this. I think "Power" recommend it at 50k (best to confirm that with them), unless they've already got your engine apart.

No one knows. I asked TVR Power once, and they change then at 40k miles if they are doing any engine work. But no one knows how long they should last. Mines been in there a while...... I recall joo sayng he'd only seen one broken one in all his years, or something like that.
