Experienced by me and confirmed by the skidmark I left on the mad scotsman's seat!
I sat in her and got taken for a passenger rollercoaster drive of my life in a straight-line that vanished so fast it felt like I was going back in time!!!!!!!!
Craigs newly developed engine in his Nitrous Cerbie is just mad! Face distortingly fast, bone shattering torque and unnatural unheard of traction in a tiv!!!!!!!!
Right, first thing happened, beautiful day, sun was shining, his baby just got back from Goodwoods... me and Allan were in Allans workshop checking out all racing bike carbon parts and wading through a few soft pron's trying to recognize who the fleshy-sculptures were etc etc (like you do on a sunny sunday afternoon)... and then boom - boom - roar... rooaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr- bang bang bang boom... something like that anyway, we looked at each other and agreed simultaneously - that was Craig who had just pulled up outside the gates.... we literally jumped and ran down the stairs to greet the mad scotsman.....
And there she was - standing there, gleaming, we ran round the rear of her and by-god - those quad pipes were just feckin amazing!!!!!!!! EYE CANDY!!!! and the system really made the Cerbie sound like a freakin 3-headed dog from hell! IT wasnt the raw loudness of ricer type exhausts, it was just a bloody roar where you can feel the tingle of every hp trickling up your spine - the noise was harmonious to that of a motorbike on cam with no silencer.... it was heaven!
Anyway, it was time to head down to see the Phoenix at Allans highly-secure storage unit (right next to a pub where hotties roam half-naked in the sun)... Craig directed me into the passenger seat - oh feck - how the hell do I get in????? this thing is tighter than a squirrels backside... I literally climbed in - contorting - twisting - pulling a few muscles in the motion.... few I'm in - then I proceeded to clip the harness together, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - done. Allan decides to play the piggy at front and drives out, Craig switches the car into life - and then decides to take the long way out - right down the car park in front, so that he can get a good run... at this point I'm thinking, naaa, the camber on the road is too bad, the surface is poor... we're just gonna cruise down.... but.... I was SOOOO WRONG! This guy is truly crazier than me! hands-down! He stopped - and then foot to the floor in 1st - no playing, no hesitation - that literally lifted up - no wheelspin - a little hop and the car was roaring soooo loud my ears were ringing with that 'I'm deaf tone' - it felt like we had taken off - I mean literally the car took off like a sudden thunderstrike! and it ate the tarmac up like there was no tomorrow and allans cerbie in the distant vanishing point suddenly became a huge feck-off poster on the windscreen!!!! and a massive brake squeel and we were literally inches off his rear - Allan must have shat his pants - I'm sure of it!!!! anyway - this was with NO NOS!!!!! jesus!!!!!!!! next time I want to be in her when he's got a topped up bottle - I wanna go for a ride in this rollercoaster everytime I need re-assurance that where theres a dream - anything is possible and all can be achieved! This guy is definitely my idol, until I can repay the favour and take him for a blast in the Phoenix.
Anyway, we got to the storage unit and pulled the beast out of the unit, and decided to take her out further into the light to take some pics..... oops.... a big munchin steep hill - I was steering while they were pushing - and suddenly I was rolling down the hill - I could hear shouting, I could hear them grabbing the car on all bits - and all I could see was this huge feck off bush and bloody trees! I calmly shouted "where are we going" - and then it dawned on me - we're going into the trees!!!!! but literally 2-3 feet away, both chaps managed to stop her. Phew!!!!!!!!!! Allan looked like he had a heart-attack, I'm sure his whole life must have flashed by when he was considering the chance his prize work will end up in tears at the bottom!!!! but thankgod....
Anyway after the pics and aweing and wowing - we decided its time to roll her back up somehow... we started.... all I remember was falling down looking like a complete knob cos I couldnt get grip with my boots... so they decided I should be the one to put the bricks in front of the tyres as we roll her back up.... so up she went... finally we got her just in.... and I pulled up the handbrake and she stopped ----------------------------- Craig said "is that the handbrake?" ----- I replied "yup"...... Craig looked at Allan and then said "it works then?" --------------- I said "yup"...................... Craig said "you f*%&^£$&$&*£$*£$*" - followed by allan "you twa*%^£&$&£$*£$*£$*£$*£$*£$*£"..... I'm such a dumb
.... what the hell I was thinking when we were rolling down and I didnt even go for the damn handbrake.....
The heat got to me - OK!!!! and I was enjoying being in my cerb and it was moving again for the first time in 2 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thankgod there was a pub right next doors cos we were dying with thirst - and we pulled in - as Craig parks up his roaring cerb - 40 odd people just looking at us - pointing at the nitrous cerb and women just dropping their jaws with awe (too bad he's getting hitched - to think of all the action he'll be missing out on!
) ...... but anyway, the day finished off nicely.....
Craig - get that bottle filled up for next time we hook up - cos I wanna feel the whole damn speedometer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS. Craig will be hitting a dragstrip soon - just the one time to see what this beast can do with no bottle and with the bottle.... I cant FECKIN WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Specs wise:
Tuscan Racer Heads with even higher compression
Block Bored out further
Aluminium Coated Throttlebodies
Aluminium Coated and wrapped exhaust headers
Racing ECU chip
Racing differential
Racing suspension and geometry configuration
Rears are 19x11J and fronts are 19x10J with Bridgestone RE050A tyres
Custom self-developed NOS install - 250shot currently
Extra Cooling Paths
Custom Racing bucket seats
5-point harnesses
Custom high-power soundsystem install although I hear this is being replaced with something that will be louder than the pipes
Decatted
Custom quad exhuast sytem
and loads of other bits, but I think I got the most of it right?
Stats wise:
Below is just a rough estimate:
Without NOS, estimates around 460-480 @ 6800rpm - tbc after getting remapped I think.
With NOS, estimated 650 to 700+ @ 6800rpm
PS. I'll put a pic or two up later

With that spec, I'd say 460hp is quite a conservative estimate ![]()
Looking forward to the final figures and wondering if the 500hp barrier will be cracked.![]()
Steve.
TBH I think the 460 will be the most out of it. I've been saying I didn't think it was much faster than it was. TILL someone pointed out the cam timing was miles out. Now thats partly sorted she feels good a good bit stronger and now got a better chip in but the timings still out by a little bit so around about 30-40bhp down at the mo' from what I'm told.
Craig.
