What's better - Toyo T1-S or T1Rs?

I have both on my Cerb - pair of T1-S on the front and a pair of T1Rs on the rear (I think it's that way around).
When I need to replace, what do I replace with?

You haven't nicked my car have you? I have that mix too! T1-S's have been discontinued as far as I know - I got a couple cheap from leighs tyres on ebay & had to get T1-R's on the back as there were no more S's left. I think R's have a stiffer sidewall but I maybe wrong.

I bought some a few weeks ago so you can still get them(but not from main distributors) and they are a lot cheaper than the latest type.

I changed my rear Toyos for Eagle F1s. Seem to do the job so far

I use S03's and although its not the consensus, I think they suit my driving style rather well.

Interesting with the Toyo's. Seems to be some good deals about.

Out of interest, what about other tyres? And what are the best? Im interested in performance in the dry and usability in the wet. Not really bothered about cost (within reason) or wear rates. I seem to recall the original fitment were Pirelli P-Zero's? How are these? Any views?

Hi Julian..had the induction mods done...391.1bhp on Joos rollers which is the same as Cliffs car,which went on to show 401 bhp at Surrey Rolling Road.(Joos tells me there is about 3% deference between each other readings). Torque is good as well at 380lb/ft.
Out of interested Joos then overlayed my graph over Jules (cyclone) and they were almost identical,but Jules car then gained about 5-10 bhp from about the 4500 rpm mark, but we both have the same torque levels at 380. So all in all very pleased..

Hi Bud,

Just changed to Toyos T1Rs,

They were £51 for my tyre size, 205/45r15, from mytyres.co.uk. Delivered them in 3 days with no problems.

Toyos are a big improvment over my previous tyres, only tried them in the dry so far & not been out on the track yet.

Just had the rear S03s replaced by 'Rs' (380 quid in Lux !!) and the rear definitely feels 'unsure' at about 100 -120 now - Very disconcerting !!

Yep pretty amazing how similar the cars seem to be after the induction mods. So you'll have to start dremeling the inlet manifold and adjusting the cam timing to see if you can get the last little bit, or are you gonna santa pod to see if 9bhp makes bugger all difference?

Jules (Cyclone) has already suggested that the Pod would be a good place to see how quick the car really is...also recently had a new clutch fitted and upgraded slave cylinder, so provided I can get the launch part right, may even see low 12's/upper 11's...u never know!
Dont think Im goin to start with the dremell...even if a couple of extra horses could be gained...doubt it'll make a huge difference anyway...

GOODYEAR F1´s have a lovely tread pattern and you can get adidas trainers with the same tread pattern on the bottom - this is all very nice and the tyres are excellent and so are the trainers
