Spotlights in indicator holes anyone?

Was idly pondering lighting options last night and wondered if it might be possible to mount some small spots in the housing for the front indicators and then moving indicators function to some small ones (maybe motorbike ones) hidden in "the mouth". Having recently done my side repeaters I have been wanting to upgrade to clear lenses on the front anyway and was thinking of mounting some small spots in the mouth, but this makes more sense as could make less of an impact to the car visually.
Anyone done a similar thing?

That's the sort of puppy. Some of these tiny halogens are so cheap as well you could probably do the whole lot and save money on the £35 it seems to be for the clear lens conversion of the current indicators. My only concern would be heat, I wonder how hot it would all get, don't want to start melting the bodywork
Cant post picture whilst at work so this wont make total sense, however i used some totally clear lenses in the front when i replaced the indicators. they are the same lenses as i used in the rear lights, with mirrored bulbs.
have posted a rear light (from a post i CAN access at work!) - the indicators are the same as the clear lenses used for indicators on the back.
Just an alternative to the NATO lense really. They look like driving lights...but if you have a real need for driving lights then not much help i suppose! Unless you could fit driving light bulbs to the same lense...

They look quite interesting also, do you know where you got them? I assume it is simply just a lens and you use the original light unit and just cut out the orange and bond in the new lens (having changed the bulb to the mirrored jobs). It is in part more about the look than the lighting

No, its an entirely new light pod, no parts of the old light in there.
And yes, it was more about the look than the lighting in my case! Having said that they are much much brighter than standard indicator.
You could change the bulbs as i said & they could function as driving lights if you could get the bulb holder sorted for driving lamp bulbs.
The biggest problem is getting a lamp to fit the hole...and these fit quite well which is why i suggested them...

Where do you get the lenses from - I want some smoked ones on the front to match my side lenses?

I guess I would like something like this
i.e more lens like than the usual landrover item. Your's sounds like it might fit the bill, however if I can get a cheap set of spots in there for the same sort of money then the additional lighting might be a bonus.

Did you mean me, my fronts are still orange at the mo, the above is just musings currently. RobertJP's option above might work for you.

Cheers for the pics, sorry for delayed response but been down to a little race in France. They look great, a lot cleaner look than the Landy ones. Can you remember what make they are or where you got them from?

Cheers for the pics, sorry for delayed response but been down to a little race in France. They look great, a lot cleaner look than the Landy ones. Can you remember what make they are or where you got them from?
They are cut out of a rear light pod for a mk4 fiesta, think they were called 'afterburner'. They were from ebay, £40 ish.

Firstly car looks fab front and rear lights look great, but either I'm being thick or have missed something. You have replaced the front indicators with spot lights, so where are the 'new' front indicators?
