Cerbie Broken wing mirror

Gents,

I had a small incident with a pedestrian the other day. Crawling along (fortunately) on an urban road with no footpaths, a man wearing headphones simply wandered into the side of the car. The result - the nearside wing mirror is broken and the casing a little cracked.

The factory can't source them anymore.

Seems like an ideal item to get from a written off car........

Any ideas?

I have looked into the glass part only and it is a VW Carrado and is between £40-55 quid just for the glass

Find that hard to believe, it's the same basic wing mirror on all the current models, from Tamora to Sagaris
Complete new mirrors are £135ish from someone like www.eurocarparts.com
But I'd have a look in your local Yellow Pages for a VW specialist breaker, or try the TVR specialist breakers, but I bet they charge more for them.

Gives some details of potential sources of supply. Note they will not have the wiring for the door lock button, nor the button itself.
