Just got round to taking a few pictures of the short Induction pipes I had recently fitted by Joos of TCS...and being BLUE to match the fastest colour for a Cerbie...I think that they look rather fetching!

The mods have produced the following figures....391.1 bhp and a torque figure of 380lbs/ft, on Joos own rollers. This was the same as Cliff Jobsons, which went on to show just over 400 bhp on Surrey Rolling Road (Joos rollers read approx 2-3% lower than both SRR and Nobles).

Any other mods to go with these rather nice pipes?
Also how much mid-range do you lose (if any) with the shorter pipes?

Its the closest blue you can get...Think you will have problems getting PINK ones though.....

Had an Emerald remap done last year...but you can have the short induction pipes and have your existing MBE remapped...

The colour you are searching for is KNIGHTFIRE RED. But don't take my word for it I'll have the colour stamped on the rear of my car so you can get a good look at it while it pulls away from you.

Well, at least it would if you were parked. I can see I'm gonna have to get the mods done just to have bragging rights around here.

Nice - I like. I had ordered a similiar induction kit, in blue. That was in April, so I'd better chase.

Paddy's (Satman) power and torque curves are superb, very strong throughout the rev range and also very, very smooth. Paddy's car is almost identical set-up to mine:

Emerald ECU
Linked De-Cats
Whirlwind Induction
Hi-Flow Filter

Prior to the Whirlwind Induction Pipes and linked De-Cats being fitted I think Paddy's car was producing around 375bhp and 365lb/ft torque, mine was producing 390bhp and 358lb/ft, since they have been fitted Paddy's power has risen by 16bhp and mine by 18-20bhp, torque has also increased by 15lb/ft and 27lb/ft respectively however, the additional benefits are that the torque and power are strong throughout the range with the following:

300lb/ft at 2250rpm
340lb/ft at 3000rpm
360lb/ft at 3500rpm
370lb/ft at 4000rpm
380lb/ft at 4500rpm (Paddy's at peak)
385lb/ft at 4900rpm (mine at peak)

200bhp at 3000rpm
240bhp at 3500rpm
280bhp at 4000rpm
330bhp at 4500rpm
365bhp(352) at 5000rpm
383bhp(372) at 5500rpm
395bhp(385) at 6000rpm
400bhp(387) at 6150rpm
408bhp(390) at 6500rpm
408.8bhp(391.1) at 6600rpm (both peak)
403bhp at 7000rpm

Both cars are almost identical in both power and torque up to 4500rpm, thereafter there is a gap of between 10-18bhp and 10-13lb/ft torque (Paddy's figures in brackets), originally prior to the Whirlwind Induction there was a difference of around 15 bhp between the two cars, so the mods have worked well on both cars and are giving consistent results. The torque and power curves are also very similar, which again is testament to the mods. These figures were done on Trackcars RR, and are a guide for when comparing two cars from the same RR, when either of mine or Paddy's graphs are overlayed against a std 4.5 the differences through the rev range are amazing, between 30-60bhp-lb/ft in most places.

Apart from all the figures above the pipes look superb!!! Wasn't sure at first about the blue ones but must admit they look great. I still have the purple prototypes on mine so might change them over for the finished article, I've also seen the Black pipes fitted and they also look superb.

Anyway, my new exhaust system is being fitted as I type, 2.5" bore into 3" at the tails, I'll post a few pics when it's on and hopefully it might release a couple of extra horsies
