Squeeky door

Hello all,

My passenger side door has the most anoying squeek every time it's opened.
I tried light oil on top and bottom hinge but that didn't work, so I gave it a
right dosing of WD40, still no change. It's a real dry GRP rubbing on metal sort of squeek if that makes sense. Any tips before I get involved with door card off and head in door much appreciated.

have you tried the proper white (lithum?) grease ?

Lithium grease - is that the proper job - then I'll have to get some.
I've not had a car with non conventional hinges before.
Think I need to get inside the door to understand whats going on in there,
anyway the window on that door isn't quite pushing up into the door seal so I guess there's a limit switch or summut in there I can adjust while I'm in there.

Youdont need to get inside the door to grease the hinges. Theres some Allen bolts on the hinges, undo them, and put some copper slip and lithium grease in the hinge.

RESULT Door card off, door off, found bottom hinge seized and turning in door instead of bearing. 1/2 hour of faffing with it in the vice - working good as new. Good clean around hinge mounts,lots of copperslip, door back on, jobs a good'n. Before I replaced the door card I adjusted the window glass in its mounts. Wayhay - no more wind noise at anything above 50.
