Fuse box map

Anyone have a map of which fuse deals with which electrics on a 2000 4.5LW? I couldn't find one in the handbook, and have just had the embarrassing experience of being told my knackered starter motor was a dead fuse!

And yes, I DID check the fuses myself before, honest, truly...

erm, ive got a schematic, it just shows the internal wiring but dosent show what fuse does what, problem is that its on A0 paper, not sure how i could post it, ive tried photographing but the detail is lost.

Scan it in A4 sections and they can be stitched together into a single image. I'm happy to do the stitching and host it if you can get the A4 scans to me.

Yup, thankfully not an expensive repair, just had to spend a lot of time wiping the egg off my face! Fernies were very gentle with me.

On the schematic front, I might try and translate it to lay out a numpties view of the fuses - there might not be anyone as impractical as me out there, but you never know. I'll speak to Fernies too, they may have something that they would be willing to share.

careful on the schematic. i had one for my 97 4.2 and it bore no resemblance to that actually installed!

You're quite right! I am thinking that the only way to truly get an accurate map is to pull each fuse out in turn and test what doesn't work. God knows what effect it would have on the car though (it being a sensitive soul at heart).

My fusbox has spaces for 41 fuses but not all are used. They are arranged in an L shape around various relays. My handbook schematic is not much use either as it looks like this.

Ive actually got the lot except the engine harness, but was stuck with how I could post it, i never thought of doing that! I'm away next week so i wont be able to scan them till I come back, if you send me your email address then ill email you the files in 2 weeks, sorry it cant be sooner but theres beer to be drunk

thanks for posting this.. someone has wired up my door wrong - when my lights are on - it disables my door button. i thought at first it was the aftermarket alarm. but they've used the nagative to the LED for the the switch? i tried for hours to find out what was going on ... but became frustrated and gave up. there were about 2-3 wires not connected and without any idea what went where. :-( i will attempt again soon
