Door/window control unit

Can someone with a 4.2 have a look at their door/window control unit to check which way round the cables go. There are 4 blocks of cables. The two on the right are ok. Its the two on the left i'm not sure about. Is the block with only 2 (back and red) cables in...does this one fit on the top, and the one with about 10 cables go on the bottom.

Be careful, I know of at leats one person who's fused the circuit by putting it back together incorrectly.

Tim. Think i've fused the circuit. Dont know what this means..It keeps blowing no 10 fuse. Is this what u mean...or do you mean worse.

Means you've potentially dammaged the control box, causing a short inside.

Fuse is now blowing due to this short.

Bummer, there was one on ebay the other day.

Assuming I cant get one 2nd hand, can they be repaired...or is it a new one. If new, how much and where from?

Think I need a new unit. Tried it on another car, and it didnt work. However, it didnt blow his fuse like its blowing mine. Weird.

Question...Is there 2 different types of box. Bell Hill have got one, but not one for mine. Thought there was only one type.

Pretty sure theres only one type, as I tested mine by swapping with a 2002 car and mines a 98

The factory repair them, do't know how much though, i've had two on mine and one was built upside down to the other one (ie boards inside)

Cheers. I've ordered one from douglas valley, but i'm going to get an auto electrician to check the car over, before i put it on. Dont want to put the new one on if thats going to go as well.

Turned out to be a knackered relay in the control box. It also knackered the boot release solenoid. Now fixed. Thanks Leebus.
