Throttle Pots

Hi Everyone

The car is in at the dealers having a fews bits fixed - they reckon that it needs a new (white or blue can't remember which) throttle pot which they are awaiting delivery off.

What excatly are these and what do they do - sorry for any spelling mistakes (as well as a complete lack of knowledge!!)

It is a variable resistor connected to the shaft the throttles are on.

So its value changes as the throttles open (i.e. you press the go pedal) and the throttle pots 'tell' the ECU how much the throttles are open.

Pots = Potentiometers = variable resistors.
