I guess your car being a later one has the inferior 'Red rose'/tuscan drilled brakes.
To upgrade from those will be expensive unless you can get some cheap 'bells' from an earlier 4.5. You can then fit the kit from Joolz.
If you already have the bells then you can fit Joolz' kit for a competitive sum compared to TVR fitting tuscan disks to your car.
But ultimately the cheapest option is the tuscan set up. But they arent as good but you wont really notice on the road if you dont drive hard.
The top two choices for improving a cerb are suspension and brakes (oh and driver training). so I would recommend Joolz' kit.

I'd leave them and get a second opinion unless your having real trouble stopping! Stick with the stuff thats on the service list and get them done some other time. Only my opinion of course, but some servicers always manage to find a few extra things to bump up the profits. What are the symptoms that caused them to recommend new discs?

According to the paperwork they're corroded, but they had the car 3 weeks waiting for the starter motor to come back. Don't understand why they didn't ring us and ask us if we wanted them doing while they had the car.
The car stops fine, can't say I've noticed it being reluctant to stop.

Another vote here for Joolz's brake kit.
I'm sure if you speak to him he could also recommend/supply the rear disks as well.
Word of warning the pads can squeel quite a bit.

This sound a bit dodgy to me. Where exactly are they corroded and to what extent. All discs get corroded if you leave them for a while - 1 spin round the block and back to normal!

Did you also get the "dirty drivers seat & oily finger marks over your white leather" option.
I normally get it thrown in for free

And to me. Corrosion on the wearing surface shouldn't be a problem unless the car has been left standing for years and years, and I'd expect the disc to wear out well before corrosion elsewhere become an issue.

Just had an email back from my Indie who has now informed me the discs will last at least for the next two services, so I have a feeling there must have been a mix up somewhere. I trust my car supplier 100% so I can now breath easy and looking forward to the BNG in September.
Cracked, scored I can understand but corroded I must admit I don't understand.
