Big Fuse Idiot

What an idiot I am !
The speedo has played up once or twice over recent weeks. So tonight the rev counter stopped working for ages twice. Then the speedo bounced around, then the CD went slow ! Oh no my big fuse has gone ! Why did I listen to my inner voice 1 month ago ! Now I am not sure I have a spare and my car is sitting on the village green outside the local shop. Idiot !

Does it take a month for the big fuse effect to materialise? When my fuse went, I just noticed the rev counter had died and I think the red battery light had come on, but the rev counter set alarm bells ringing. Drove straight round to my mates house and changed it before it gave me any trouble.

exactly why I am an idiot !! Mine has been dying for over a month and I ignored. My battery light never came on though. The symptomns were the same as when it went on my last cerb . Just jump started the car and gave it enough juice to drive it the 100m back to my house. So will try n find a fuse on Sat (And have ordered some from Joolz - heres hoping he can send 1st class tomorrow and I get em Sat am !).
I need the car for a 'footballers wives' party!

My Speedo has been going funny, bouncing around a lot.

Is this a sign of a fuse problem and were is the fuse?

But I was once bitten and didnt have a spare one ! (Well actually I did have a spare one but I suspect one of my kids hid it !).

Spotted a broken down cerby with a bloke and his young lad looking hot and pi**ed off on the M25 today, so pulled over to see what was up. Bloke said "it just sort of died on me", so I asked if the rev counter was going mental just before and he said it was. So grabbed one of my spare fuses, got my toolkit, disconnected battery, burnt my feckin arm on the inlet manifold, job was a goodun in 20 minutes and he was on his way, with a huge grin and much "thank you so much".

So if you are listening Cerbera God, this is my simple offering before I take my Cerb on a 5,000km jolly around Europe in about 5 hours time. Be nice

When changing fuses is everyone changing the one at back of the engine or the one inline with the main lead to the battery?Only when ive had trouble with the fuse its been that one.

Ever changed that other one ! o idea what that is for - dont think that other one could relate battery etc as it is just a normal fuse (ie low amps).
By the way I got a pack of 10 fuses from a friend for £1.50 !

Its a 100 amp fuse as well.Had the car completely die on me once no electrics nothing at all and i was stuck at a junction at the time on the south circ.Turned out to be that fuse.
